Alan K. Jones is an investor with more than three decades of experience in building and leading organizations. Most recently, he served as a Managing Director and Head of Global Private Equity at Morgan Stanley. Jones held various positions at Morgan Stanley over 25 years and served on a number of leadership boards and committees for the firm. He served as chairman of Morgan Stanley’s Global Private Equity Investment Committee and as a member of the Investment Committees for Morgan Stanley Private Equity Asia, Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital, Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners, Morgan Stanley Energy Partners, and Morgan Stanley Credit Partners.
Jones has also served as a corporate director of Access Cash, Hojeij Branded Foods, ReachOut Healthcare America, Creative Circle, EmployBridge, McKechnie Aerospace, and Zenith (UK).
Jones is a director of the American Repertory Theater; a director of the U.S. Board of Shakespeare’s Globe; a member of the Council on Foreign Relations; a director of Pursuit; a director of the Commonwealth Fund; a director of the International Biomedical Research Alliance; a member of Harvard’s Committee on University Resources; co-chairman of Reunion Giving for the Harvard College Fund; co-chairman of the Harvard Business School Fund; chief fund agent for the Harvard Business School Class of 1987; reunion co-chairman for the Harvard College Class of 1983; a member of the Foreign Policy Program Leadership Committee at The Brookings Institution; a mentor in Senator Kirsten Gillibrand’s Women’s Mentoring Initiative; and a member of the Board of Governors of the Franklin & Eleanor Roosevelt Institute.
Jones holds an AB in biochemistry and molecular biology from Harvard University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
