Alan K. Jones, MBA

Alan K. Jones is a Managing Director and Head of Global Private Equity at Morgan Stanley. Jones has held various positions at Morgan Stanley since 1993, and sits on a number of leadership boards and committees for the company. He is chairman of Morgan Stanley’s Global Private Equity Investment Committee and serves as a member of the Investment Committees for Morgan Stanley Private Equity Asia, Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital, Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners, and Morgan Stanley Credit Partners. He is also a member of the Merchant Banking Department Executive Committee and Risk Committee. Jones is currently a director of Access Cash, HBF, and ReachOut Healthcare America and has previously served as a director of Creative Circle, EmployBridge, McKechnie Aerospace, and Zenith (UK).

Jones is a director of the American Repertory Theater; a director of the U.S. Board of Shakespeare’s Globe; a member of the Council on Foreign Relations; a director of the International Biomedical Research Alliance; a member of Harvard’s Committee on University Resources; co-chairman of the Harvard Parents’ Fund; chairman of the Harvard Business School Fund; chief fund agent for the Harvard Business School Class of 1987; reunion co-chairman for the Harvard College Class of 1983; a member of the Foreign Policy Program Leadership Committee at The Brookings Institution; a mentor in Senator Gillibrand’s Women’s Mentoring Initiative; and a member of the Board of Governors of the Franklin & Eleanor Roosevelt Institute.

He holds an AB in biochemistry and molecular biology from Harvard University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
