Andrew McCullough comes from CCS Consulting and will be providing interim leadership to PHR’s development function and campaign consulting, with an emphasis on growing support from individual major donors.
McCullough brings a deep knowledge of, and commitment to, mission-driven work, developed during his 10 years working as a nonprofit leader and political advisor. He has played a pivotal role across multiple aspects of organizational growth and strategic development, from delivering new programs and partnerships to designing and successfully implementing major fundraising campaigns and aligned communications.
Before joining CCS, McCullough served as a director for global programs and program development with Cultural Vistas, a nonprofit dedicated to international education and intercultural exchange. Andrew led the organization’s global programs across Europe, South America, and Asia, securing partnerships with companies and universities to support program growth. He also led development work with corporate, foundation, and university partners to deliver innovative new exchange opportunities, including securing the funding for the organization’s major new initiative on promoting diversity in the STEM fields.
Prior to this, McCullough served as the director of engagement for the Washington Ireland Program, an Irish-American nonprofit dedicated to peace and reconciliation in Ireland and Northern Ireland, where he led the campaign to establish the organization’s flagship new initiative in New York. McCullough began his career managing a political office in the UK Parliament, where he won a Parliamentary Researcher of the Year Award for his work on legislative issues and campaigns.
McCullough holds an MA in Psychology and an MSc in International and European Politics from the University of Edinburg. Originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland, he now lives in New York.
