Serene Murad contributes to Arabic-language research for PHR’s online, interactive map of attacks on health care in Syria and Yemen and helps conduct in-depth research and data analysis related to these attacks on health care facilities and professionals. She works closely with the research team, and contributes to other related research activities throughout the organization.
Prior to joining PHR, Murad completed her MA in psychology at Wesleyan University, where she worked on refugee resettlement. She has conducted data collection and analysis in a range of settings, and previously interned for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) in the West Bank, as well as Care International and Action Aid in Jordan. Murad is bilingual in Arabic and English.
