Tajrean Rahman serves as the elections coordinator at PHR, a role that helps manage the organization’s special projects in connection with the U.S. elections. She interfaces with PHR staff in research, advocacy, and communications to ensure that plans are integrated and information is shared on emerging developments, partner activity, and PHR actions. Rahman has a strong background in public service and administrative work, and her experiences allow her to support the team through substantive engagement and strategy as PHR continues to monitor the issues that arise in the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election.
Prior to joining PHR, Rahman worked as an organizing fellow with VotER, a nonprofit organization focused on improving the country’s civic health by working with providers to increase patient voter registration. She also volunteers as a counselor for Crisis Text Line, a global nonprofit organization providing free mental health texting service through confidential crisis intervention via SMS message.
Rahman holds an A.B. in History and Science and a Secondary in Integrative Biology from Harvard College. She is a native speaker of Bangla and has a strong working knowledge of Spanish.
