As senior writer, Tom Schloegel helps PHR communicate with current and prospective funders, primarily institutional donors and foundations, and supports the development team in expanding the overall base of financial support.
Schloegel has spent three decades in the nonprofit sector, working on a range of issues including international development, humanitarian relief, higher education, climate mitigation, and more. Prior to joining PHR, he advised The Campaign School at Yale University, which helps prepare and launch women into elected office, and was a member of the core organizing team for Deep Adaptation Forum, a global organization focused on individual adaptations to current and future environmental disruption. He has directed development departments, managed major and planned giving campaigns and development operations, and crafted strategies, messaging, and marketing materials for donors at every level.
Schloegel is a native of Milwaukee, WI, where he earned a BS in business administration from Marquette University.
