Sammi Brown is proud to serve as Individual Giving Manager at Physicians for Human Rights. Brown’s primary goal is supporting individuals in their discovery and understanding of PHR’s mission. As a fundraising professional, Brown works with donors to expand and provide opportunities for greater involvement with the mission with a focus. In this capacity, Brown facilitates connections across the organization and provides support to strengthen PHR’s global impact and reach. Also, she partners with PHR’s board and leadership council to elaborate on PHR’s philanthropic goals and harness the vision of the organization. Brown enjoys the process of strategizing and determining annual giving goals; her commitment is to sustain the organization’s legacy and impact by diversifying fundraising efforts.
Prior to joining Physicians for Human Rights, Brown worked as an associate for United Way for Greater Austin in Austin, Texas. During her time, Brown supported the organization’s corporate and individual fundraising efforts, specifically, broadening the organization’s individual giving program through targeted cultivation and prospecting. Brown helped assess and recommend a path toward rebuilding in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. Brown takes great pride in generating opportunities to support individuals on their philanthropic journey. Brown was honored to oversee United Way for Greater Austin’s young professional cohort, a group of emerging philanthropists.
Brown holds a BS in Public Relations from the University of Florida. She is passionate about supporting individuals and building avenues for justice.
