Katherine Peeler is a pediatric critical care physician at Boston Children’s Hospital in Boston, MA, where she is also on the faculty of Harvard Medical School’s Department of Global Health and Social Medicine and is medical director of Harvard Medical School’s Asylum Clinic. She has worked directly with child and adult asylum seekers and has researched, written about, testified, and spoken publicly about the health and rights of asylum seekers. Particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Peeler has been sought out as an expert in the health of unaccompanied immigrant children for several ongoing legal cases aimed at protecting their health.
