Lindsey Green, MA

Lindsey Green provides support for research and programmatic activities for PHR’s Program on Sexual Violence in Conflict Zones. She conducts research on sexual violence and other human rights violations.  She also helps forge networks of collaboration among medical, legal, and law enforcement personnel to support prosecutions and accountability, particularly in Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia.

Green began her career as a Peace Corps Volunteer in The Gambia focusing on community-based, sexual and reproductive health and rights education. She has also held positions in program implementation, evidence generation, and knowledge sharing at the Friedman School for Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University, Mercy Corps, Pathfinder International, and Dartmouth College. In addition to her work in The Gambia, she has experience in Senegal, Sierra Leone, Tajikistan, and Uganda.

Green holds a Master’s degree in Sustainable International Development from Brandeis University, and has a BA in International Relations and African Studies from Beloit College. She is proficient in French and Wolof.
