Livingston Musumba is a practicing information and communications consultant with more than 30 years of experience in the industry. He has served in various senior positions in both private and public sectors before starting an ICT consulting firm in September 2005.
Musumba has vast experience in implementing and developing solutions in the health care industry, including a patient care system for CDC-IEIP/KEMRI, Malaria Information Acquisition System. He has also worked on the development of an online district reporting tool for the Division of Malaria Control Kenya, a Cloud-based funding collaboration platform between Port Health Services and the Ministry of Health Kenya and its partners.
Musumba works closely with PHR on its mobile app MediCapt, conducting assessments for facilities implementing MediCapt in addition to training and supporting MediCapt users and technical support teams. His role involves working with users, tech staff, and MediCapt developers to make the app responsive to users’ needs. Musumba also serves as a technical committee member for Kenya Institute of Management’s Organization Performance Index, an excellence model, for the last 15 years. He oversees the determinant on innovation, ICT and knowledge management in assessing organization performance. He has assessed a number of large organizations and trained more than 1,200 champions from participating organizations.
Musumba holds a BSc in statistics/computer science and a postgraduate diploma in computer science from the University of Nairobi and has undergone training in project management, ITIL, Microsoft certification, and other IT areas.
