PHR report provides evidence of compounded health disparities and inequities across northern Syria in the wake of a decade-long assault on health care by the government

On June 3, 2019, a massacre took place in Khartoum, Sudan. Witnesses reported that various uniformed elements of Sudan’s security forces were responsible for extrajudicial killings and forms of torture, including excessive use of force; cruel, inhuman, and degrading treatment; and sexual and gender-based violence.
